A native of Kingstree, South Carolina, Thaddeus L. Wilson during his senior year in high school served as a youth advisor to then South Carolina governor Richard W. Riley. In 1989, Mr. Wilson received his Bachelor of Business Administration Degree from the University of Notre Dame in Management Information Systems with a double major in Philosophy. Upon graduating from Notre Dame, he moved to Chicago, Illinois to work as a computer programmer/systems analyst at Joseph T. Ryerson & Son. In 1994, Thaddeus received his law degree from Northern Illinois University College of Law.

Thaddeus L. Wilson practices in the areas of financial services, bankruptcy, civil rights/police brutality, personal injury and election law. As part of his multifaceted litigation practice, Mr. Wilson represents corporations, insurance companies and individuals in connection with major personal injury, wrongful death, police misconduct, election challenges, financial services and commercial litigation. He also represents debtors and creditors in Chapter 7, 13 and 11 bankruptcy proceedings, as well as banks and other financial institutions in bankruptcy and foreclosure proceedings and turnaround management and asset recovery. Thaddeus also is an arbitrator with the Circuit Court of Cook County and the Illinois Mandatory Arbitration Program. He also serves as a hearing officer for the Chicago Board of Elections.

Thaddeus L. Wilson is admitted to practice in the State of Illinois; the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois; the U.S. District Court for the Central District of Illinois; the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Indiana; the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit; and the U.S. Supreme Court. Mr. Wilson currently serves on the boards of KIPP Ascend Charter School, of which he used to be Chairman, and the Cook County Bar Association ARDC Liaison Committee. Thaddeus also is a member of the Chicago Inn of Court, the Cook County Bar Association, and the Chicago Bar Association.

Thaddeus L. Wilson is currently the managing director of the Law Office of Brookins & Wilson, a partnership of professional corporations between Howard B. Brookins, Jr., P.C. and Thaddeus L. Wilson, P.C. Thaddeus is married to the former Tiffany N. Johnson, with whom he has two daughters.
